Driver Parker Kligerman Released from Brad Keselowski Race Team

Brad Keselowski Racing released this statement to BKR sponsors and the media on 8-6-12 regarding the release of driver Parker Kligerman as driver of the #29 BKR RAM. It read: "Brad Keselowski Racing has elected to make a driver change for the Team's No. 29 RAM in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series ("Series"). For the Series' next race, scheduled for August 18, 2012 at Michigan International Speedway, Brad Keselowski will pilot the No. 29 BKR RAM.

Driver information relating to BKR's continued pursuit of the Series' 2012 Owners Championship will be forthcoming."

Kligerman has driven the BKR No. 29 RAM in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for the past year and a half. Reese Towpower the number one brand for towing products has sponsored BKR with driver, Kligerman in the Camping World Truck Series for four of the scheduled five races in the 2012 Cequent sponsorship deal. Two races remain for Reese Towpower as the primary sponsor: one September 29th at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the Smith’s 350. BKR has yet to name a driver for races after the Michigan Race August 18th, which Keselowski, also the team owner and Sprint Cup regular driver, will drive the #29 RAM. The second race remaining for Reese Towpower is the NCWTS 200 in Bristol August 22. Keselowski was previously scheduled to drive the #29 RAM featuring ReeseTowpower as the sponsor on the hood of the #29. 

Brad Keselowski racing did not state a reason for the driver change this late in the race season. Kligerman did finish last week’s 125-mile race at Pocono in seventh place and is sixth in the NCWTS point standings. He had two top five finishes and seven top 10s in 11 races with BKR. Last year, Kligerman finished 11th in the NCWTS standings.
