Las Vegas, NV- (October 30, 2012) Automotive aftermarket industry leader, Cequent Consumer Products, was awarded a 2012 Automotive Communications Awards (ACA) by the Car Care Council Women’s Board (WB) and the Automotive Communication Council (ACC). Award winners were honored during the 15th annual Women’s Board reception, Tuesday, October 30th at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas during the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX). The Automotive Communications Awards applaud companies/agencies that provide automotive information through outstanding advertising, marketing and public relations efforts.

Cequent Consumer Products was selected in the category of “Video News Release” that announced Cequent partnering with Michelin® to become a distributor for Michelin® Easy Grip™ Composite Snow Chains. The product debuted to the U.S. automotive retail marketplace last year and is a product for tires that helps motorists improve traction on snow covered roads. Cequent distributed the video news release on PRWeb, the world’s #1 news release distribution service.
“We could not be more pleased to have won this award and to be recognized by our industry for our communication efforts,” said Shannon Ketvertes, Cequent Consumer Products Communications Manager. “After sending this release, the Easy Grip™ video instantly became our most watched product video and the product page became our most visited page on our website. In addition, other analytics showed above average results for this release, all contributing to a successful communications campaign,” Ketvertes said. The video continues to receive more than 1,000 monthly views and is the most watched Cequent video with 10,843 views since it was uploaded to YouTube 10 months ago.

Cequent also brought home another award given out during the AAPEX convention. Cequent Consumer Products was awarded with a 2012 AAPEX Product Showcase award for “Automotive Lighting Products” for Highland® Black Tailgate Lighted Logos (Stealth). This is the third AAPEX Product Showcase award for Cequent, who has a long history of exhibiting at this leading industry tradeshow in the auto aftermarket.
