Cequent Consumer Products Partners with Rainbow Babies and Childrens Hospital

10-Jul-2012 Cequent Consumer Products Partners With University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital

SOLON OH - Cequent Consumer Products announces a new company sponsorship with University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, one of the most trusted names in children's health care and recently ranked as one of America’s Best Children’s Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report 2012-2013.

Cequent is kicking off the new relationship with a charity golf outing at Silver Lake Country Club as part of Cequent’s annual summer sales meeting held to debut new innovative products to Cequent’s national sales representatives and employees. Also golfing in the event will be celebrity NASCAR driver Parker Kligerman of Brad Keselowski Racing, driver of the #29 Reese Towpower Ram in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, currently ranked 5th in the standings. Reese Towpower is Cequent’s top brand and the leader for aftermarket towing products and accessories which include hitches, hitch balls, ball mounts, electrical and other vehicle accessories.

“In an effort to continue giving back to our community, CCP is proud to partner with Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital,” said Sarah Holecek, Human Resources, Cequent Consumer Products. Sarah, who was a patient as a child at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, remembers the good care and all of the games and things to do at the hospital as a child. “Rainbow Babies is right in our backyard and it will be wonderful to give back to Rainbow and to the sick children who are receiving care there now.” UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital sees more than 10,000 patients and their families each year and is one of Cleveland’s top hospitals.

Money raised from various golf holes at the outing will be donated to UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. Also, through July 31st, Cequent will be collecting monetary donations and items from Rainbow Babies children’s wish list, for the hospital’s game and recovery rooms. Cequent has been very successful with these types of fundraiser drives for other local organizations it has worked with in the past and is looking forward to visiting UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s in August to present donations and visit with patients.

"We are excited that Cequent has chosen Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital as recipient of its 2012 employee golf outing and giving campaign," said Theodora Wolf, Rainbow's Director of Development. "Rainbow has been a nationally recognized leader in pediatric medicine for more than 125 years, and Cequent's generous support will help us to extend our legacy of care and advance our timeless mission: To Heal. To Teach. To Discover.”
Cequent Consumer Products will continue to look for ways to support UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital and other charitable organizations that Cequent supports. For more info visit
